پیام کمیته بین المللی علیه اعدام به مناسبت برگزاری روز جهانی سکینه

کمیته بین المللی علیه اعدام و کمیته بین المللی علیه سنگسار به هزاران نفری که در سراسر دنیا در اعتراض جهانی به اعدام و سنگسار شرکت و طومارهای اعتراضی برای نجات جان سکینه را امضا کردند تبریک می گوید. مردان و زنان در ۳۲ شهر جهان به خیابان‌ها آمدند تا نشان دهند رفتار وحشیانه نسبت به مردم در هیچ جای جهان را نمی‌پذیرند.

تظاهرات از آمریکا ٬ کانادا و برزیل تا فرانسه٬ آلمان٬ سوئد٬ نروژ٬ ایتالیا٬ انگلستان٬ هلند٬ گرجستان و استرلیا را در بر گرفت. هزاران نفر در حالیکه عکس‌های سکینه و باندرول‌هایی در مخالفت با اعدام و سنگسار را در دست داشتند به خیابان آمدند. در این تظاهرات‌ها همچنین نمایش‌هائی علیه سنگسار داده شد و در برخی از آنها روسری‌ها در انظار عموم به آتش کشیده شد. رسانه‌های بین المللی با دست اندرکاران و فعالین تظاهرات‌ها مصاحبه کردند. تلویزیون‌ها و رادیوهای مختلفی از صحنه‌های چندین تظاهرات رپورتاژهای زنده تهیه و پخش کردند.

دیروز یک روز مهم برای همه ما بود. مردم از کشورهای مختلف جهان حمایت خود را از سکینه محمدی آشتیانی و فرزندانش نشان دادند. دراین روز مردم اعلام کردند که اجازه نخواهند داد سکینه و یا هر کس دیگری سنگسار و یا اعدام شود. ما تنها از طریق نیروی متحد مردم می‌توانیم رژیم جمهوری اسلامی را وادار به عقب‌نشینی کنیم و به سنگسار و اعدام خاتمه دهیم.

سکینه و فرزندانش امیدوارند که این جنبش هر چه قوی‌تر شود و به آزادی سکینه کمک کند. این روز موفقیت‌آمیز گام موثری در تشدید مبارزه برای آزادی سکینه و همچنین علیه سنگسار و اعدام و جمهوری اسلامی خواهد بود.

‘International Sakine Day’ a Success

The International Committee against Execution and the International Committee against Stoning congratulate the thousands of people across the world that took part in the global protest against stoning and execution and signed the petition to save Sakine’s life in Iran. In 32 cities around the world, women and men came out to show that they won’t accept the barbaric treatment of people anywhere.

The protests stretched from the US, Canada, Brazil to France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Georgia and Australia. Thousands were on the streets with Sakine’s photo and slogans against execution and stoning; there were performances and the burning of veils in public places. The international media interviewed organisers and activists and there was live reporting for TV and radio stations from several of the protests.

Yesterday was a very important day for all of us; people from different countries showed their solidarity with Sakine Ashtiani and her children. On this day they declared that they won’t allow Sakine or anyone else to be stoned or executed. Only with the united power of the people we can push back the Islamic regime of Iran and end stoning and execution. Sakine and her children hope that this movement will grow from strength to strength and will help free Sakine. This successful day will help to intensify the struggle for the freedom of Sakine and against stoning and execution and the Islamic regime of Iran.
