‘Dual-Nationals as Bargaining Chips: Effectiveness of different approaches and options in a changing climate’.
Panel to bring together families of detainees, activists and international experts in human rights:
•  Highlight the plight of dual nationals unjustly detained by the Iranian government and used as bargaining chips.
•  Individual experiences of families when lobbying for release of their loved ones.
•  Different approaches from Western Governments, NGOs and activists to negotiate with Iran.
Panel 2:
‘Arresting Civil Society: Upholding Citizens Charter and Rule of Law in Iran’.
Panel to bring together experts in Humanitarian Law, activists and human rights defenders:
• Highlight repression against and arbitrary detention of civil society activists in the Islamic Republic of Iran
• Highlight the violations in due process in Iranian Judiciary with focus on Revolutionary courts
•  Highlight lack of progress by Iran in implementing its own citizen charter
