جمهوری اسلامی روز ۱۸ نوامبر در چهاردهمین روز اعتصاب قدرتمند کارگران نیشکر هفته تپه، اسماعیل بخشی و سایر نمایندگان شورای کارگران و تعدادی از فعالین این مرکز کارگری را دستگیر کرد که به خیال خود جلو گسترش اعتراض کارگران هفت تپه را که با حمایت پرشور خانواده ها و مردم شهر و همبستگی بسیاری از مراکز کارگری همراه شده است، بگیرد. حداقل ۱۸ نفر از رهبران کارگران و یک زن خبرنگار را دستگیر کردند اما امروز کارگران نیشکر و مردم شهر پرشورتر از روزهای قبل در مقابل فرمانداری و دادگان شوش دست به تجمع زدند و خواهان آزادی رهبران خود شدند.
اعتصاب و تجمعات قدرتمند و متحدانه کارگران نیشکر هفت تپه که تمام مردم شهر را به حرکت درآورده است تا همینجا همبستگی بخش هایی از جامعه از دانشجویان تا فعالین کارگری و معلمان و بازاریان و دانش آموزان را به خود جلب کرده است. اعتصاب و تجمعات کارگران هفت تپه اعتراض به فقر و نابرابری و سرکوب و اختلاس است. خواست های کارگران هفت تپه خواست همه مردم در سراسر کشور علیه مفتخوران و سرکوبگران حاکم است و باید با حمایت و همبستگی هر چه وسیعتری در داخل و خارج کشور مواجه شود.
روز سه شنبه ۲۰ نوامبر و شنبه ۲۴ نوامبر در شهرهای مختلف اروپا و کانادا دست به تجمع میزنیم و همه شما مردم معترض را به شرکت در این تجمعات فرامیخوانیم. سران حکومت باید بدانند که هر دستگیری و هر جنایتی با موجی از اعتراض و خشم مردم در سراسر جهان جواب میگیرد.

Stand against the arrest of several workers representatives in Iran!
On 18th November 2018, sugar cane workers of Haft Tapeh in Shush city in Khuzestan province entered their 14th day of strike as the employers and authorities failed to meet their legitimate demands and to pay their wages. After their assembly and protest in front of governor’s office of Shush, all the workers’ representatives including Ismael Bakhshi the famous leader of Haft Tapaeh workers protests were arrested and taken to unknown location.
“Slave-like”, “poverty”, and “desperation” used to be the words to describe situation in Haft Tapeh and mood of the workers and their families until they organised and formed their Workers’ Council. Hopeful, determined, organised, united and strong workers stopped mass expulsions, spotted and exposed embezzlements and corruptions among directors of the corporation and government officials, and became leaders and representatives of the people who suffer from similar issues.
Teachers, students, marketers, and people of Shush as well as workers of other industries in the province joined workers’ marches and assemblies to say no to “injustice and inhumanity” of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The striking workers have brought hope to the society that wants to be free from rule of the greedy corrupt capitalists and their inhumane regime and rule. The people who support the workers and decision of the Workers’ Council trust the workers and their alternative.
We call on all the workers and people around the world to protest the arrest of Haft Tapeh Suagar cane workers and defend the right of organisation and right to protest for all workers and citizens in Iran. Please send your protest letters to the Islamic regimes authorities and demand immediate release of Ismael Bakhshi and all the arrested workers.
