Since the early hours of Friday morning, 13 June 2025, the Israeli army has launched unprecedented attacks against the leaders and military and nuclear centres of the Islamic Republic. So far, a long list of criminal Revolutionary Guard Corps leaders have been killed, the Islamic Republic’s nuclear and missile facilities have been bombed and heavy security and psychological blows have been dealt to the authority of the Islamic Republic.
Given that the Iranian people start each day with the hope of emancipation from the Islamic Republic and that large-scale protest movements have been taking place across Iran, these crushing military attacks have confronted the criminal regime in Iran with an unprecedented existential crisis. The Islamic Republic, more than being afraid of Israel, is afraid of a people who have neither water, nor bread, nor freedom, nor peace and tranquillity. A people who have embarked on a great revolution, the revolution of Woman Life Freedom, which, despite the regime’s bloody repression, has continued in the depths of Iranian society.
In confronting this existential crisis, the regime in Iran will try to militarise the political space and, under the pretext of war, make the conditions for the people even more difficult and unbearable. On the one hand, any military response by the regime to Israel could result in a far more destructive war, including the risk of nuclear contamination. On the other hand, this war is being ignited by Netanyahu, whose hands are drenched in the blood of the people of Gaza and who has shown that he will not refrain from any crime in reaching his goals. The Iranian society is thus facing the most dangerous and decisive moment in its history in recent decades.
The most immediate and the only way for Iranian society to safely pass through this dangerous and sensitive situation is for millions of people of Iran to come out against the Islamic Republic for its overthrow. The overthrow of the Islamic Republic will not only liberate the people of Iran from a regime of one hundred thousand executions and poverty and misery, but will also liberate the world from a regime which by inciting war and organising Islamic terrorism is one of the main actors for setting the Middle East region on fire.
The Worker-communist Party of Iran stands with all its might by the side of the people of Iran and will use all its resources, inside and outside the country, for the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.
